Combitech acquires SecureCom

6 May 2015

The technology consulting company Combitech, and independent subsidiary of the defence and security company Saab AB, has strengthened its position in cyber security through the acquisition of the operations in the payment security company SecureCom.

SecureCom is a consulting company with advanced expertise in card payments for the banking and finance sector. The company provides services in security assessments, encryption keys and printouts of PIN codes. Customers are primarily in the Nordic banking and finance market.

Combitech is now taking over the operations of SecureCom, which will become a part of the company's Swedish operations.

SecureCom's advanced expertise and Nordic customer base in the banking and finance sector is in line with our strategic ambitions of growing in cyber security and reinforcing our position as a leader in cyber security in the Nordic countries. Through the acquisition SecureCom's customers gain access to a complete range of services in information security.

Pernilla Rönn, Head of the Business Area for Information Security at Combitech

By becoming a part of a larger company, we create long-term stability for our customers. Besides them gaining access to a wide range of services in cyber security through Combitech, we obtain very strong joint expertise in encryption and security assessments, areas in which Combitech can contribute with their long experience of delivering encryption solutions to the defence industry, for example.

Stefan Simonsson, the majority owner of SecureCom.

SecureCom has its main office in Alingsås and a staff of about a dozen employees. Combitech intends to gradually transfer operations to its office at Lindholmen in Gothenburg.
