Our Rodon™ software uses a model-based technology to efficiently and securely handle reliability analyses and other fault analyses in parallel with development. The tool supports you and your colleagues through the entire life cycle, from preliminary design and architecture optimization to test and diagnosis. Unique for Rodon is its ability to simulate a chain of events going backwards in order to identify the original source of a problem.
Rodon provides a rapid check of a product’s reliability and can identify early on how product faults should be handled. This is required when developing complex products where development time tables are becoming shorter, while requirements are tightening up for reliability, safety and diagnostics.
Traditional troubleshooting information is able to normally find up to 40% of product faults. With Rodon, that number can be raised considerably. Up to 99% of electrical and mechanical faults can be identified. The system is used by high-tech firms such as Airbus and Saab, and also by global vehicle manufacturers.
Rodon can be used systematically to conduct fault tree analyses at an early stage of FMEA analysis, for verification and validation at a later stage. Both high-level design models as well as detailed models with physical relations can be handled by the same tool. This simplifies things and allows a better use of design information, so that other parts of the development process are supported in an optimal way.
Rodon introduces a model-based work flow that uses models to easily and rapidly reveal how the production functions. Then Rodon can automatically generate fault analyses. This not only provides a faster way of working, but also the analyses are more correct than if they were done by hand. Human error can thus be eliminated. By using Rodon, the fault analyses will fit in with the rest of the development efforts, before it is too late.
Product design changes have become more frequent, but also tougher to handle without having to redo all the fault analyses that have already been done, from the beginning. With Rodon, changes can easily be introduced to the model and then updated fault analyses can be generated that reveal the consequences of the design changes.
Fault analyses of complex systems require a working method built on a thorough understanding and shared views of the system’s functions and construction. Using Rodon can assure that these shared views are created, since all actors involved can use Rodon’s models as they communicate with each other.
Rodon needs no adaptations, but is ready to use in your work with fault analyses. You’ll see the results immediately, in that tedious manual work is replaced by Rodon’s automatic analyses.
Rodon makes the work of fault analysis faster and more accurate, and can support knowledge dissemination about the system, which frees up time to improve product quality. Altogether, Rodon enables large cost savings in the development process, but also provides improved assurances that faults are identified and handled correctly during the entire product life cycle.
