Resource savings and effective military training through means of digitalization
The Operational capability of a military unit consists of skills, willpower and equipment of the unit. Equipment is procured, will is in human nature and skill is trained by instructors and exercises. In modern day military training both basic and some of the advanced training can be done in virtual classroom simulation environments (VIRTUAL). In addition to this virtual training, the complete operational capability finalizes in real environment with real units and leaders in live exercises (LIVEX). The ability to carry out quality live exercises requires good preparation and scenario design.
In this combination of live and virtual training, modern training aids have become increasingly more important trough digitalization. These technological training aids raise participant motivation, provide realistic situational picture of ongoing battle and give feedback for individual soldiers and systems. When cease-fire is called, these aids are also involved in debrief actions to further improve the learning process.
In military training, two factors drive the development of solutions. Time and cost. Trough digitalization, organizations can achieve resource savings in both of these factors. We at Combitech have been enabling these savings to our customers by modernizing processes of their basic- and gun range training.
Combitech has years of experience in operating two-sided combat simulation systems for customers and facilitating debriefs. We are also continuously developing new solutions concerning every aspect of modern military training.
