Combitech and Scania Sign R&D Framework Agreement

8 February 2017

Truck and bus manufacturer Scania has designated Combitech as its new preferred supplier of consulting services within R&D.

The agreement covers all aspects of Scania's development work and includes expertise such as material strength calculations, design and construction, integrated systems, production development and technical documentation. Along with a small number of other companies, Combitech has been selected as a preferred supplier.

Combitech signed the agreement together with its subsidiary Tikab, who have long worked with Scania on technical documentation. Combitech's extensive experience of aircraft and motor vehicles proved instrumental during the procurement. Together, the companies serve as a complete supplier within development and documentation.

Combitech has cutting-edge expertise in areas such as autonomous vehicles, Active Safety, infotainment and efficient product development. As a new Scania supplier we are looking forward to bolstering our cooperation in many areas. The agreement is important for our work with motor vehicles and also means we will need to recruit more employees in the Stockholm region.

Fredrik Tengel, Key Account Manager at Combitech.
