Combitech Finland meets defence demand with new business units

31 October 2025

Combitech Finland is enhancing operations by restructuring its organisation and establishing three business units to support growth and strategic objectives. The reorganisation addresses growing customer needs and the rapidly changing challenges within the defence sector.

In recent years, the company's operating environment has significantly changed due to shifts in global security conditions. Simultaneously, the company's market potential has increased, which has reflected in steady business growth through strengthened existing customer relationships and a growing international demand for product-related business. This change requires adaptation from industry players to effectively meet the needs of the defence and security domain.

"Supporting the national as well as international defence and security domain has become increasingly important to us due to changes in global security conditions. We want to ensure that we can offer our customers solutions and services that meet their evolving needs," comments Timo Rantala, CEO of Combitech Finland.

The core of Combitech's organisational and business renewal is the establishment of three business units and the development of their operations to serve the needs of target customers in each area. Going forward, the business will be divided into the Defence Forces Agreement business, the Product and Project business, and the Managed Services business. Esa Tiilikainen (Defence Forces Agreement), Timo Mustonen (Solutions and Projects), and Pasi Hirvonen (Managed Services) have been appointed as Chief Business Officers (CBO). Joni Laitinen has been appointed as Chief Operating Officer (COO) to support the operational activities of the business units.

"Our aim is to clarify and strengthen the implementation of our offerings and services as business units to respond to the rapidly growing demand in Finland, Sweden, and other NATO countries," says Joni Laitinen, COO of Combitech Finland.
