During the first quarter of the year, the security policy situation continued to be in focus. Sweden's entry into the NATO defence alliance has characterized business dialogues and collaborations, which is reflected in Nordic customer assignments in defence, industry, the defence industry and authorities. During the quarter, Combitech worked together with the public sector to continue to strengthen civil defence and society in order to meet NATO's seven baseline requirements for national resilience.

"Our experts continue to work intensively to meet the uncertainty that society is currently experiencing and the demand for our services continues to increase. The defence industry has large order books and society demands our expertise and experience in areas such as robust communication systems, electricity supply, continuity management, preparedness for cyberattacks and disinformation. The NATO membership places increased and clarified demands on total defence preparedness, which includes military defence but also civil authorities and companies," says Jessica Öberg, CEO of Combitech

Key events during the period:

  • The Swedish Armed Forces (FM) / Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV) has extended a 24-month agreement regarding the maintenance of communications equipment.
  • The Norwegian Kongsberg Group has signed a two-year agreement with Combitech for consultancy services and commitments, part of which is Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) services.
  • New framework agreements with the Swedish Civil Aviation Administration in crisis management/total defence and aviation safety were won during the quarter.
  • Combitech held the Total Defence Day 16 January, together with invited societal actors, with a focus on preparedness exercises in the financial sector to create resilience if the payment system is heavily burdened or completely crashes.
  • During the quarter, Combitech strengthened its local cooperation, for example through a collaboration with the Swedish Armed Forces, Saab and the municipality of Arboga to secure the supply of personnel and strengthen the knowledge that exists in technology, security and defence in the area. Combitech also arranged a roundtable discussion on preparedness in Växjö.
