During the first quarter of 2026, Combitech continued to grow positively, reporting strong revenue growth of 16 per cent and an operating margin of 11.3 per cent.

Ultimately, total defence is about safeguarding democracy and the openness on which our society is built. It is therefore positive that businesses’ preparedness is strengthening and that the issue is now an established part of the public agenda. At the same time, this year’s Total Defence Report shows that levels of maturity in preparedness efforts varies, both geographically and between companies of different sizes. This uneven development risks weakening Sweden’s overall resilience, not least if smaller companies fall behind.

If Alfred Hult could give you one piece of advice, it would be to not stress about having it all figured out. Through a series of seemingly random choices, he found his way to Combitech as a Systems Engineer. Even though his first assignment didn’t turn out to be a long-term match, the experience became a valuable stepping stone toward a dream role.
